Everyone wants guarantees.
They want the guarantee of a good education, the guarantee of a good job and the guarantee of a good stable income.
If that’s what you want, stop reading this blog and quit trying to start your own business.
Guarantees are for the weak, for those who lack self-belief and the determination to win.
The masses follow the guaranteed path and that’s why they’re guaranteed to live a mediocre existence.
To make money on your own terms you have to risk it all.
Without the all-in mentality, you are certain to fail.
You must be all in, be willing to fail completely and start again.
If you think you’re going to start making money without failing first, you are wrong.
People seek a guarantee because they are scared that they won’t get what they want.
They are scared of failure and looking like a fool to their stupid nobody neighbors.
They don’t even like the people whose judgements they are so afraid of.
These people settle for less than they actually want so they can at least secure some of what they want.
They do what everyone else is doing in fear of standing out from the crowd.
The 1% live a much different life.
They risk it all on every play, knowing that they can make it all back even if they fail.
They are committed to achieving success and refuse to take no for an answer.
They do exactly what they want to do, even when the rest of the world criticizes them for it.
They shun stability and aspire for greatness.
They don’t give a flying fuck what their idiot neighbors think about them, because they know those who criticize them are already living shitty lives and are chronically unhappy.
They respect the process and the process molds them for greatness.
The losers who seek guarantees learn nothing because they risk nothing.
Always playing it safe, they ironically put themselves at the highest risk.
Because nothing is within their control, they are vulnerable to losing their job, getting destroyed by inflation and failing to have any competitive advantage over their peers.
They have always done what everyone else is doing, and are surprised when they get the same mediocre results as everyone else.
If you want to live a great life, forget about guarantees.
The only thing guaranteed in life is death.
Any other guarantees you think you have are mere illusions to the truth.
You think your college degree guarantees a good job? Don’t make me laugh.
You think your job guarantees you financial security? Don’t make me laugh.
You think doing what everyone else is doing is going to get you exceptional results? Don’t make me laugh.
The reason guarantees don’t actually work is because they’re actually a cop-out.
It’s a way to pretend like what you are doing will get you results because that’s whats supposed to happen and a convenient excuse used to prevent an individual from taking any action.
People think that if they go to college, they’re guaranteed success.
They attend their classes, do the bare minimum and are surprised when they can’t seem to land a job.
They are shocked to realize that college degrees are commonplace, meaningless and don’t provide any competitive edge in the job market.
They did what everyone around them was doing and are surprised when they have too much competition and too few marketable skills.
The 1% do the things that lack a guaranteed result.
This virtually guarantees that they have a competitive edge over their peers and the skills required to achieve greatness.
They follow the path less traveled, and find that they have no competition except themselves.
Taking risks ironically guarantees that you will live a life of greatness, as long as you never give up.
You will either get rich or die trying.
With such a mentality, success is certain to come.
It could take years, but it’ll be worth it.
It’s far better than rotting away in a cubicle with only two vacation weeks off a year, driving in 9-5 traffic every morning and night only to earn a meager paycheck that is hardly enough to pay the bills.
I’d rather die than live that kind of life.
If you think the same, start living life without guarantees and see how far you can make it.
Best regards,
Alex Chung
