Today I’m going to show you guys everything I do once I get back from the store.
I’m going to show you the full process of how I create a shipment, how I prep my items, how I get the product barcode stickers, how I pack my boxes and how I ship it to Amazon. It’s going to be a full step-by-step guide from start to finish.
We’re in my workstation right now and basically first thing we need to do when we prep these items is we need to take a picture of the product with the receipt. I like to do this at places like Marshalls, TJMaxx and Ross (anywhere where the UPC barcode doesn’t show on the receipt and they have their own internal numbering system) because this will protect you from an IP complaint.
Now the next step is taking off all these stickers. We can do that using a heat gun and Goo-Gone. I also use scotty peelers.
Batch creation
Go to Inventory Lab and you want to create a new batch, and then press create.
Now you want to add these items to your batch, so you take your scanner and you scan your item.
Hi Alex, really appreciate the content you’ve put together. Just starting out here, is it correct in order to get involved of this there’s a £25 monthly subscription fee to Amazon when signing up?
Hello Steven,
I recommend you start with the free individual plan for Amazon until you sell 40+ units a month because it is more cost effective.
The individual plan has no mostly fee but a $0.99/order surcharge. Once you pass 40 units, it is cheaper to get the $40/month professional plan without that additional per item surcharge.
Best regards,
Alex Chung
Hi Alex. Greetings and thank you for sharing all your knowledge in a such a way! I have questions about the ip complaints. You said in the begging of the video to take picture of receipt and item with store sticker, to protect from ip complains. Do i need to upload this pictures somewhere, or i keep it for myself in case there is some complaint? And what if i buy from outlet? Let say nike shoes? They don’t have tags, how it works then? And how this can help later when i have ip complaint? Sorry if i missed this info, i went through your archive but didn’t get that info. Thank for your help.
Keep the receipts and pictures in your archive in case you need them. I do not take pictures of the receipt next to the product any more, but I try to take pictures of the tags at Marshalls, Ross, TJMaxx, etc. I do this because the product UPC is not on the receipt and there is no way to determine if the product you have is in fact the same one that is on the receipt. I quickly take a picture of the Marshalls tag and keep it in my records. If the product UPC is on the receipt (Walmart, Nike, Kohls) I do not take any pictures. This will help if you get an IP complaint because they will ask for invoice and you can submit the receipt along with the picture you took to prove authenticity. This has saved me in the past.
